4.6 Close Project or Phase
Process Definition
Closing a phase/project involves completing all activities and deliverables of a project. This results in a completed project, program or phase. Additionally, this process involves steps to ensure all items are fully completed and that no items remain that could obligate the company to a new endeavor or action.
Process Assessment
Closing a project or phase ensures that a systematic process is developed to ensure all items, actions and deliverables are closed. This process is beneficial because it ensures the processes and steps to close encompass every process group. Overall it ensures that all deliverables and documents are complete. One positive deliverable from this process is a lessons learned document which details important takeaways that can be used for future projects.

3) Final Product, service, or result transition: Transition requirements describe temporary capabilities, such as data conversions and training needs. This letter suggests that there are several areas of improvement needed for an airline that was evaluated.
