Hello,

MY NAME IS CHRIS GOFF, I CURRENTLY WORK AT HONDA JET, IN GREENSBORO, NC.  I AM PART OF A PROJECT BUILDING WING STRUCTURES, WING-ATTACHMENT AND FUEL SYSTEMS INSTALL ON THOSE WINGS.  I AM POINT OF CONTACT AND TEAM LEADER ON THE FUEL SYSTEMS PART OF THE PROCESS. 

I AM FINISHING MY LAST CLASS FOR THE REQUIREMENTS OF MY MASTERS DEGREE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT FROM ERAU, AUGUST 2017.  EARLIER IN MY LIFE, I RECEIVED MY BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN PROFESSIONAL AERONAUTICS FROM EMBRY RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY, 2000.

I AM ALSO AN A&P MECHANIC, SINCE 1989.  I HAVE HAD THE PRIVILEDGE TO WORK ON PROJECTS THAT MODIFIED AIRCRAFT FROM PASSENGER TO FREIGHT-CARRIERS (BOEING 757s).  ON TWO DIFFERENT AIRCRAFT, I HAVE HAD THE EXPERIENCE IN COMPLETE DISASSEMBLY OF THE AIRCRAFT, INSPECTION OF ALL PARTS AND ENGINES, AIRFOILS, AND LANDING GEAR, AND THEN REASSEMBLE THE AIRCRAFT TO AIRWORTHY CONDITION.  THESE TWO DIFFERENT AIRCRAFT WERE THE BLACKHAWK HELICOPTER AND THE KING AIR 200 TURBOPROP AIRPLANES.

ON MANY AIRCRAFT TYPES, I PARTICIPATED IN PROJECTS WHERE A, B, C, AND D TYPES OF INSPECTIONS WERE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE TASKS OF RETURNING THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO SERVICE IN AN AIRWORTHY CONDITION.  ANNUAL/100 HOUR INSPECTIONS WERE ALSO PROJECTS THAT WAS COMMON IN MY CAREER.  THESE AIRCRAFT WERE: BOEING 727, 737, 747, 757, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, AND KING AIR 200.

I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR A COMPANY IN NASHVILE, WHERE WING-BUILD PROJECTS WERE COMPLETED FROM BEGINNING TO END FOR GULFSTREAM 450, AIRBUS 330 AND 650 AIRCRAFT. 

ON ONE PROJECT, I WAS ASKED TO BEGIN A DEICE-BOOT REPLACEMENT SHOP, FOR THE BRITISH TURBO-PROP AIRCRAFT IN SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.  I WAS ASKED TO CREATE THE SHOP, TRAIN PERSONNEL HOW TO OCCOMPLISH THIS TASK AND RETURN AIRFOILS BACK TO SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAA STANDARDS.

I HAVE ALSO MANAGED AND OWNED A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WITH A MONETARY LIMIT OF $400,000 PER PROJECT, FOR A PERIOD OF TWELVE YEARS.  MY COMPANY WAS CERTIFIED TO WORK ON ALL KINDS OF CONSTRUCTION, FROM BUILDING TO REPAIRING RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS.  I HAD THE PRIVILEDGE OF BEING THE POINT OF CONTACT BETWEEN ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS OF EACH PROJECT AS WELL AS COMMUNICATE WITH BUILDING AND CODES FOR ALL INSPECTIONS.

MY HOPE IS THAT MY AVIATION CAREER OF BUILDING AIRCRAFT ALONG WITH A PERIOD OF TWELVE YEARS HAVING MY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WILL LEAD TO CERTIFICATION AS A PMP PROJECT MANAGER.
