Process Definition

Plan schedule management involves the creation of procedures, policies, and supporting documentation which allow project management to execute, manage, and control a project's schedule.  The use of project management software is not uncommon, and any use of software should be mentioned within the procedures and policies section.  Also, formal control procedures should also be listed as tools used to control project development and once completed, the final closure process.

Process Assessment 

Schedule management plans can be as simple or complex as desired, based upon the complexity of the project itself.  It is important to remember that the plan is used to control and project schedule and should provide instructions for how to deal with potential schedule slippage, and also how to identify and resolve schedule problems.  As the project develops, this management plan may require revision due to schedule issues or a change in scope.

3. PMGT 612 Fukushima Daiichi Schedule Management Plan: As an output, the schedule management plan contains the tools and processes necessary to control the project schedule from inception to final closure.
