4.2 Develop Project Management Plan

Process Definition

 This process entails defining, preparing and coordinating all project plans and integrating them into a comprehensive project management plan.  This key document defines the basis of all project work.  The project management plan, which is the only output of this process, defines how the project is going to be executed, monitored and controlled and closed.

Process Assessment

This project management plan provides the big picture to all the sub processes, such as scope, schedule and budget.  It provides a reference to keep all other processes on tract, however when changes are implemented, the project management plan needs to be continuously monitored and updated.
