Process Definition

 This process is making sure each procurement is completed thoroughly.  This process also involves administration in finalizing claims, updating records and providing for lessons learned.  Each contract has its own terms and conditions.  Early or late delivery will need to be addressed on case by case basis. 

Process Assessment

This process ensures no loose ends are left undone. Dealing with contractors and outsourced help, different contracts will required different input, tools and outputs.  It is important to follow up and document lessons learned for each procurement.

1. Procurement Documents (Input): this homework assignment was taken from PMGT 614.  It focused on the type of contract that would be used during the procurement process within a project.  This can be used as an input for the Closeout Procurement phase.

2. Records Management (Tools and Techniques):  This was another homework assignment taken from PMGT 614.  It was a checklist that was used as an example to authorize acceptance for the contract.  These documents are used as tools by project teams to close out all procurements.

3. Procurement Negotiations (Tools and Techniques):  This was an essay to explain how and why negotiations are used by project teams during close out phase.  It is important to explain all details to buyer/sellers when closing out so there is nothing left to chance.
